They think it's all over – it is now

Well, that's a wrap for Clancy Active 2023.

This year our wellbeing campaign ran for a week, from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th May. Once again, a series of activities were held around the country organised by our local offices, with industry friends and colleagues joining us to help raise as much money as possible for the British Heart Foundation and several local charities chosen by our team.

Back for its eighth year, on 25th May, teams from our Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham offices joined forces to host the Clancy Active Sportive, with 50 guests joining us on their pedal power to sample the delights of the Cheshire countryside. Feedback from our guests included,

"Just a quick one to say thank you for the event yesterday.  I really enjoyed it – the weather was great and it was very well organised. I wish every Thursday afternoon could be the same."

"A massive thank you to the Clancy team for organising such a great event! Really enjoyed it, and good to meet a lot of new people."

At the end of the week the London team strode out for a scenic walk along the River Thames, picking up the Thames Walk from Putney Bridge to Tower Bridge. The weather was glorious and the team enjoyed stretching their legs and pointing out the latest additions to the capital's skyline.

Sukh commented, "It was a great day out with the team taking in the brilliant sights and sounds of London. Thank you to all who have supported us.”

Both events raised £1,764. Donations are still landing on our Just Giving page, and you can still donate here.

Then there was the magnificent effort from our Norwich team who completed an epic 37km east coast hike from Cromer to Wells-next-the-Sea in a very speedy nine hours! Some stunning scenery was enjoyed along the way, and a brilliant effort by all.

The team chose to raise money for fantastic local charities Nelson’s Journey and Sue Lambert Trust, raising almost £700.

Within the business we also asked our people to ‘Step Up’. A week-long challenge was set with a target distance of 1,341,250 collective steps - the number required to link up our ten offices, setting off from the Norwich office and finishing in Prestwick.

Did we do it? Of course we did! In fact, we more than doubled our target, reaching a staggering 3,378,289 steps.

Thanks so much to everyone who took part and supported us. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
