Chris takes the reins as CEO at Clancy Consulting

Clancy Consulting is pleased to announce that Chris Acton has assumed the role of CEO from 1st April 2023.

Chris succeeds Martyn Headley, who, after 32 years with the business and a period of four years in the post as CEO, retired at the end of March 2023.

Having been with the company since 2009, Chris has held the role of Board Director for the past six years. With responsibility for overseeing the civil, structural and geoenvironmental teams in Manchester, he has successfully led the continued growth of the section since returning from a five-year secondment in the Middle East in 2016. Chris has been instrumental in implementing many of the operational and strategic initiatives which have improved the service offering to clients.

In his new role, Chris will oversee the company’s ten offices, providing leadership across all departments, including business development and marketing, and growing Clancy’s services nationally across the built environment.

Chris commented, “I’m thrilled to be taking on this new challenge. I have worked closely with the board of directors over the last six years, during which time the business has experienced a significant transition with an emphasis on shaping the company for the future. I’ll continue this vision and leadership whilst developing the role to suit the future plans of Clancy within our ever-evolving industry.

After celebrating our 50th-anniversary milestone last year, I’m very much looking forward to leading the company to further success. We have a fantastic team here at Clancy and I’m excited for the next chapter.”
